College and Career Week, fantastic week!

College and Career Week is over! We would like to, one more time, thank everyone who made this week possible.

The goal of College and Career week is to expand the student’s horizons to see what their options for the future may be. During this week, each day had an emphasis and teachers were encouraged to discuss those with their students.

College and Career week provides a platform for the school to develop meaningful and personal connections between students, alumni, parents, and friends.

On Thursday, the secondary students had three opportunities to hear from seven different guest speakers: Joshua Abreu (ACA 06\’), Albert Martinez, Steven Palomino (ACA 07\’), Julio Beachy (ACA 03\’), Donald Pine, Cathy Pine, and Matias Brizzio.

They spoke about how the students could glorify God in non-ministry careers. In the classroom, teachers discussed how to write a resume, shared their college experience, and talked about career options related to their subject content.

Elementary teachers also invited parents to come in throughout the week and share about their jobs.

We want to thank all the teachers and the 11th graders for all of their hard work, as well as the speakers who helped during the week; and especially Wendy Van Zyl, Guidance Counselor, who sponsored this awesome week.
