July School Update – Notes from the General Director

Greetings and Blessings to all!

Soon we will begin the 2021-2022 school year.  We will welcome our new teachers to Orientation on July 14 and our veteran teachers will return on July 19 for Orientation with TeachBeyond as part of our new partnership.  Then Tuesday, July 27, will be our first day of school.

I want to again express how important it is for those families who still owe tuition for the 2020-2021 school year to complete their payments.  We continue to need cash flow to pay for our school book materials.  Again, thank you to all who have continued to be faithful to pay your obligation.  We were able to pay our teachers their salaries on June 25 but were not able to pay the 1/2 aguinaldo.

We will release information concerning the teaching format, whether we will be virtual, hybrid, or on-campus as soon as possible.  I continue to pray for our families because I know that several have recently struggled with the COVID-19 virus.  I hope you will all soon be able to receive the vaccine.  Mrs. Retzer and I will receive our second vaccination on July 8.

Please pray for all of our new teachers to arrive safely.  These are our new teachers and staff for next year:

Administration

  • Marquis Harris (Director of Curriculum and Instruction)

Elementary

  • Sarah Davidson (1st)
  • Valeria Terol (3rd)
  • Hannah Johnson (5th).

Secondary

  • Will Davidson (MS Bible & Social Studies)
  • Rachel Huddleston (new position in MS Math)
  • Alex Reger (HS Science)
  • Belen Esquivel (Counselor).

We still need to hire an Art teacher, and we will need to hire at least one new teacher aide for Elementary.

Please continue to pray for us as we plan for the 2021-2022 school year.  There is much to be done.  We are blessed to be receiving new students.  Please pray that we will have a good PreKindergarten class this year of more than 15 students.

Thank you for your partnership with ACA and for your prayer support.  God desires that we work together to accomplish the educational goals for your children and I thank you for your trust and prayers.

God bless you and keep you,
