Chapel

Every Thursday, students from every grade level participate in one of four chapels that take place throughout the morning. They worship together through music and hearing the Word presented by a different speaker each week. The messages are normally given by teachers with the occasional invitation of guest speakers.

Camps

Camp is the most exciting event of the year for both students and staff. ACA offers camps for Pre-K through 12th grade during the first semester of each school year. During the four days of camp, both students and teachers have the opportunity to worship together and learn about God in daily chapels and devotionals.

Students in Pre-K through 2nd grade attend an on-campus day camp that includes arts and crafts, team games, snacks, and lunches. The other three camps are held at the Baptist Conference Center where students spend four days and three nights enjoying nature and planned team games and activities. There, they also enjoy the pool and a bonfire with s’mores. The camps are divided into upper elementary (3rd through 5th grades), Junior High, and High School students.

RE fuel

REfuel is an opportunity for ACA students to connect with God and each other outside of the regular school routine. Every Friday night students in grades 6 through 12 are invited to participate in student-led youth group activities. Relationships are strengthened through worship, testimonies, devotionals, food, and fun activities. Many teachers also join in the fun.

Parade of nations

Other than camps, Parade of Nations is one of the biggest events during the school year. It is a day-long celebration that brings Missions Week to a close. Each grade from Pre-K through 12 has the opportunity to learn about a culture and use their creativity to prepare a presentation about the country. Classrooms are transformed into a world showcase displaying the cultures and bringing awareness of the missional needs of each nation. Later that same day, the school closes up this week with the International Dinner.

Community service

Every semester, students are challenged to be involved in the Great Commission through community service. They are encouraged to serve the community and local churches with their gifts and talents as they grow in faith and love. Many choose to serve through music, children’s programs, community clean-up, evangelism, and translation for mission teams. These opportunities open the eyes of the students to see the needs around them and make a lasting impact for God’s Kingdom in both their lives and the lives of others.
